Parkinson’s Disease Study

Diagnosed with Parkinson's?

Clinical trials are essential for finding new treatments or even a cure for Parkinson's disease.

PLEASE NOTE: This study is enrolling at the Orlando, FL and The Villages, FL research centers.

Parkinson’s disease is a slowly progressive and disabling neurodegenerative disease manifesting with motor issues, such as tremor, muscle rigidity, and slowed movement. It also causes non-motor issues like sleep problems, depression, and cognitive changes, severely impacting quality of life.

Parkinson’s disease results from the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells, leading to symptoms that worsen over time. Dopamine is a critical neurotransmitter that acts as a messenger, helping the brain control a person’s voluntary movement. Dopamine helps to coordinate smooth, balanced, and precise motions.

This study drug is being developed as a potential disease-modifying treatment for Parkinson’s disease, possibly slowing progression.
